In the tradition of dueling tenor saxes promoted in the Count Basie band in the 1930s - with Lester Young vs Herschel Walker, and later with Dexter Gordon vs Wardell Gray, and Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis vs Johnny Griffin - our local Tenor favorites Pete Whitman and Joe Mayo will square up, cheered on by Patrick Adkins - piano, Graydon Peterson - bass and Peter Kogan - drums.
