Thursday Vocal Jazz was created to spotlight established singers as well as up & coming Twin Cities vocalists. This week we welcome Reuben & Dan Ristrom!

Reuben and Dan Ristrom are a father & son Duo that have been performing music together with family since Dan was a young boy! Together, Reuben & Dan are celebrating the release of their new album “70/30″ which is 70% with a Jazz band and 30% just as the duo. Their last album “Me & Pops” was also mainly just the duo. Always adding new songs, Reuben & Dan will play favorites, from old to more contemporary songs.

Dan Ristrom grew up singing and playing bass in the church, singing at Jazz clubs and festivals nation-wide and now leads his own bands from Soul, R & B, Funk, Rock & Roll, to Jazz and Gospel. He often working with his family, (including brothers Andrew on drums and Matt on Guitar). Nationally and globally, Dan has performed with many professional musicians, playing bass and singing all genres of music. He has worked with Gospel singer Robert Robinson, Jazz singer Debbie Duncan, Prince’s band Michael Bland and Tommy Barbarella....
