The Bridge Series: Phil Hey Quartet at Jazz Central Studios

The BRIDGE Series is aimed to bridge the gap that the AQ’s closing has left for musicians and listeners by featuring many of the artists who performed there. In the absence of a jazz club, we are hoping to get audiences out on Friday evenings, with music starting at 7:30pm, for a (strongly) suggested donation of $10 per person. A different cast of fantastic musicians will assemble each week for what we hope to be a great series.

Phil Hey Quartet has been one of the premier groups in the twin cities jazz scene for a number of years, playing monthly at the Artist’s Quarter until it’s untimely closing this year. The band features Hey on drums, Dave Hagedorn on vibes, Phil Aaron on piano and Tom Lewis on bass. A hard swinging band to be reckoned with, and one of only a couple performances this year....
