Brazilian Guitarist Diego Figueiredo at Bigfork Center For The Performing Arts

Headlining the Valentine’s weekend event at 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 15 is Brazilian guitar player Diego Figueiredo, who is considered one of the most talented guitar players on the planet. Guitar legend and 10-time Grammy winner George Benson said he is, “One of the greatest guitarists I’ve seen in my whole life.”

Figueiredo’s incredible technique is gilded with emotion, making his electrifying concerts of Brazilian and jazz music unforgettable. Still in his young 30s, he is the winner of several important competitions including the Montreux Jazz Competition and the VISA Prize. Opening for Figueiredo at the BCPA concert is singer/songwriter Chuck Suchy, one of the foremost musical voices of the American Great Plains. Local jazz musicians, “Donny & Kleist” featuring Don Caverly on upright bass and Erica von Kleist on saxophone and flute will join Figueiredo for a portion of his performance.
