The next installment in the Contemporary Jazz Series features the Bruce Dudley Quartet with Derrek Phillips, Jesus Santandreu, and Jonathan Wires. The program will feature contemporary original compositions by Dudley, Phillips, and Wires, plus a few select jazz classics. The concert takes place Saturday, November 16, 8pm in the Jazz Cave at the Jazz Workshop.

Bruce Dudley is one of the city's most elegant and accomplished pianists and educators. He studied at the New England Conservatory of Music, Manhattan School of Music, and Eastman School of Music. He received a doctorate in Jazz Studies from the University of Colorado, and is on the faculty of Belmont University, MTSU, and the Nashville Jazz Workshop. An outstanding composer and arranger, his 1998 CD Semblance was nominated for Best Jazz Album of the Year in Nashville Music Awards. His recent CD's include Mostly Monk (2010) and The Solo Sessions (2012). ...
