Christina Watson cd Release - Passage at Nashville Jazz Workshop

Please join us in the Jazz Cave for the release of vocalist Christina Watson's new CD "Passage" on Sunday, November 23 from 3-5 pm.

Passage is Christina's newest project, the 2nd with producer / songwriter / visual artist Green Daniel. It is a beautiful presentation of masterfully-written pop songs (by Stevie Wonder, Sting, Joni Mitchell, Tom Waits, Randy Newman, Green Daniel, Michael McDonald, Peter Gabriel, Buddy Mondlock, Van Morrison) re-envisioned by some of Nashville's top-notch jazz artists.

Christina's voice is well-known to any jazz fan in Nashville. She performs jazz and other genres at public and private events, in concert halls, churches, clubs and at festivals. She is the soprano in 4-person vocal jazz group, 3rd Coast Vocals, and is a frequent guest performer with the Nashville Jazz Orchestra and the NJO Sextet. Christina has released 2 previous CDs as a solo artist and 1 with 3CV, and she was featured on the NJO's 2013 recording, "It Ain't Necessarily So." She has performed in Europe and Asia as well as in various parts of the US....

Christina teaches private and group lessons at her home studio, and she has previously taught at Nashville-area schools including Belmont University, Hume-Fogg, St. Edward School, and Gene Ford Music. She is a faculty member here at the Nashville Jazz Workshop, and she directs the a cappella women's choir, The Nashville Belles.
