Snap on 2&4 w/ Dara Tucker at Nashville Jazz Workshop

We're excited to welcome back to the Jazz Cave vocalist Dara Tucker. Dara's last Snap on 2&4 in 2012 was a sold-out affair, and we don't expect this one to be any different.

Besides her appearances around town, Dara tours around the country, including frequent visits to New York's famed Blue Note and Smoke Jazz Club, Snug Harbor in New Orleans, Scullers in Boston, and many others.

For her Friday, July 11, 8pm performance, Dara will be joined by Greg Bryant (bass), Nioshi Jackson (drums), Joe Davidian (piano), and James DaSilva (guitar).

What's even more exciting is that this performance will celebrate the release of Dara's new CD, The Sun Season, consisting almost entirely of original material. Recorded over two days at David Stoller's Samurai Hotel Studios in Queens, New York, the project features pianist Helen Sung, drummer Donald Edwards, guitarist Peter Bernstein, bassist/producer Greg Bryant, and horn players John Ellis and Alan Ferber. There will be two sets beginning at 8:00 pm in the Jazz Cave at the Workshop. Tickets will go on sale Monday, June 30 at 10am, and are $20 ($10 for high school and college students).
