Nashville is incredibly fortunate to have a musician of Chester Thompson's caliber. The Jazz Workshop is especially fortunate to have the drummer as a faculty member and artist! With three decades of performing and recording under his belt, Chester has influenced countless musicians in the fields of jazz, pop, rock, and gospel. Aside from a stint with Weather Report, Chester's resume also includes tours with Frank Zappa, Genesis, and Phil Collins. Chester has appeared as a sideman many times in the Jazz Cave, and we are excited to welcome him back as the lead man. Chester will be joined by his trio bandmates Joe Davidian on piano and Michael Rinne on bass. This performance will also feature Todd London on vibes and percussion.

There will be two sets beginning at 8:00 pm in the Jazz Cave at the Workshop. Tickets will go on sale Monday, June 2nd at 10am, and are $20 ($10 for high school and college students).
