NEW LINEUP ANNOUNCED FOR JAZZ BY THE LAKE FESTIVAL
A new performers list has just been announced for the 7th annual “Jazz by the Lake Festival” Saturday, May 7th at the waterfront Occoneechee State Park Amphitheater on Kerr Lake at Clarksville, VA. Although there is bench & picnic table seating, you should bring your chairs to hear the Josh Preslar Band, a renowned blues, boogie and swingy favorite in Raleigh & the Triangle. Piedmont blues guru Boo Hanks will also headline this year’s one-day-only festival along with Ryan Lindsay, Bullfrog Willard McGhee, the Triangle Blues Society’s 2009 Blues Challenge solo winner and TJ Maistros, an award-winning rock and jazz percussionist and composer who is currently featured as the hard-driving drummer of the teen classic rock band Sytuation. ...

Members of the Virginia Junior All Star Jazz Ensemble including Tyler Lindsay and Veronica Swift who are young professionals are also scheduled to perform. Returning performers include Decatur Street Beat, Monika Herzig, Kip Williams and others.
This year’s festival starts at 10:00 AM and goes until 7:00 PM or dusk. Admission is only $5.00 per vehicle. Admission funds go towards park improvements.
