Sandra Dudley & Lori Mechem CD Release at Nashville Jazz Workshop

Please join us on Sunday, November 17 from 3-5pm for the release of "All Of My Life" - the new CD by Sandra Dudley and Lori Mechem. The disc is a tribute to the legendary songwriting duo Alan and Marilyn Bergman, and contains two previously unrecorded Bergman songs.

The project was conceived after the Bergmans made a surprise visit to the Jazz Cave in September 2011, for a concert of their songs performed by a Jazz Workshop Vocal Class. "That night changed many lives, especially ours," said Mechem. "When Sandra and I decided to record an entire CD of Bergman songs, everything started to fall into place. I contacted Alan and Marilyn to see if they had any songs that had never been recorded. They sent us several to consider, two of which are on this project, 'Mozart In The Dark' and Being Without You'."...

Alan and Marilyn Bergman state that:

Some of these songs have never been recorded and some have many recordings, but all are sung and played here with such freshness and keen jazz sensibility."

Produced by Roger Spencer, all musical selections were arranged by Lori Mechem, with the exception of “Summer Me, Winter Me”, which was arranged by Bruce Dudley.

The performance and reception are free and open to the public.
