The idea for the Veluwe suite arose at a festival in the Veluwezoom, where Ellister played music for a week with the crème de la crème of Dutch classical music. The musicians play with the major Dutch orchestras, but like to make room for mixing jazz and chamber music. Guitar magician Gijs Idema not only provides the beautiful sounds behind the melodies and improvisations, his playing forms a world in itself.
