Jazztival heralds the summer time with a festive program full of swinging, pure jazz, Latin, funk and salsa. With "Seven Steps to Heaven" as the seventh edition’s theme, the jazz festival in Alkmaar (The Netherlands) presents dozens of bands and artists on the festival’s five podia; from established names and emerging talents to the not to be underestimated real Alkmarian musicians.

During the festival there are several Jazz and improvised music workshop presentations. There is also an opportunity to follow workshops drawing, photography and vocal improvisation at the festival.

Concerts starting before 7pm are entrance fee–free, as well as workshop presentations and performances in foyer and grand cafe. Tickets are sold for the concerts starting after 7pm. Festival passepartout are being sold via the festival’s website in advance for € 20, as well as concert tickets for € 7,50. The pre sale closes on the 25th of March.
