Zara McFarlane is one of the most promising artists in British souljazz. She confirmed this herself by being awarded 'Best Jazz Act' at the 2014 Jazz Mobo Awards.
Born in London, McFarlane creates a contemporary mix of soul, jazz, dub and afro. She is often compared to the likes of Erykah Badu, Cassandra Wilson, Nina Simone Pharoah Sanders.
Her second album 'If You Know Her' was releases early this year. This 'rising star' will come to Groningen at January 22nd.
