Dee Dee Bridgewater hosts the WBGO Champions of Jazz Benefit at New Jersey Performing Arts Center

This year's WBGO Champions of Jazz Benefit Event features an unforgettable concert program celebrating the tradition of great vocal stylists WBGO proudly presents on air and online - Jazz, Classic R&B and the Blues- with Master of Ceremonies Dee Dee Bridgewater, the Tony & Grammy Award-winning host of the NPR/WBGO weekly radio show JazzSet. Featured performers will include: Leny Andrade, Ernie Andrews, Gary U.S. Bonds, Jon Hendricks and Maysa! Mr. Hendricks will lead a recreation of the sound of his seminal group Lambert, Hendricks and Ross featuring members of New York Voices.

This year's honorees are two seasoned and tireless supporters of Jazz: Musician, Producer, Composer, Music Executive and Philanthropist, Herb Alpert and representing The Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation, Phoebe Jacobs, a true Champion of Jazz for over 70 years....
