About

James Gibbs III, Newark-born, Irvington-raised trumpeter studied Jazz at the former New Brunswick Jazz Institute of New Brunswick, and then later under the legendary trumpeter, composer, and producer Donald Byrd at Delaware State University. He has been performing professionally for at least 20 years and has recorded on over 30 records to date, and four records as a band leader.
