Misha Fatkiev began playing guitar at an early age and within two years of playing, he was performing at the Chicago Blues Club in New York City. Completing his jazz studies at Rutgers University, Misha has performed at premier venues throughout the northeast coast such as Showman's in Harlem, The Blue Note in New York, Carnegie Hall, Trumpets Jazz Club, Cecil’s Jazz Club, Skipper's, Smalls, Fat Cat, sharing the stage with world class artists such as Miles Griffith, Kenny Davis, Ralph Bowen, Sean Jones, Don Braden, Kyle Koehler, Radam Schwartz, David Lee Jones, Sergio Gomes, James Gibbs III, Claudio Roditi, Ralph Lalama and Johnathan Blake.

He has also played numerous jazz festivals including the Jazz n' Ribs Fest in Ohio and the Cape May Jazz Festival. His influences range from Jimi Hendrix to Tchaikovsky, from James Brown to Wes Montgomery.

One of the groups that Misha is currently involved in, “Conspiracy For Positivity” has been ranked on national Jazz Times chart as #11 and can be heard frequently on New York and Philadelphia jazz stations. Besides performing, Misha also has a love for teaching and is the guitar instructor at the Pingry School in NJ. He is frequently asked to adjudicate All State Orchestra auditions, and has taught at jazz workshops such as The Montclair Jazz Camp and OSPAC. In the summer of 2009, Misha was commissioned by the world renowned master of tabla Pandit Divyang Vakil to play at a music festival in his honor, taking place in India.

Misha is currently involved in a straight-ahead jazz organ group with organist and jazz educator Radam Schwartz, and leads his own group, “Tribal Etiquette,” featuring the dynamic Webb brothers with Jacob on bass and Nathan on drums. One of the up-andcoming young guitarists of his generation, Misha continues his quest for fresh sounds in music.
