To hear acclaimed vocalist Samara Joy perform live is to feel the emotional resonance of every lyric. Winner of the 2023 Grammy Award for Best New Artist, Joy returns to NJPAC to headline her first performance here. She approaches the American Songbook with respect and playfulness, honoring the legacy of vocal masters from Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McRae, and Billy Eckstine through Dianne Reeves, Kurt Elling, and Cécile McLorin Salvant.
