About

Charlie Parker called NEA Jazz Master SHEILA JORDAN "the singer with the million-dollar ears." First vocalist to record on Blue Note. Protege of Bird, student of Mingus and Tristano, collaborator with Roswell Rudd, Cameron Brown, Lee Konitz...Innovator, educator, inspiration. Seed Artists is honored to bring Ms. Jordan to the Montclair Public Library for some tunes and some jazz talk. FREE, and no registration. Her stories alone are priceless, and at nearly 89, she still tells a story in song like no other.
