Village Preservation is pleased to partner with musician and author Richard Barone for his revitalized new series, VILLAGE NIGHTS, coming to the Bitter End nightclub with four unique events in 2026. Each event will focus on a specific decade of the Village’s musical history, featuring legendary musical guests and panel discussions with noted journalists, authors, and historians.Part of The Bitter End’s 65th Anniversary celebration, these events promise to be as educational and informative as they will be entertaining. “Village Nights” is also part of Village Preservation’s yearlong “Revolutionary Village” series in 2026, which celebrates the contributions that Greenwich Village, the East Village, and NoHo made to American history in the course of the nation’s 250 years. She's appeared on numerous TV shows over the course of her 50-plus year career. Terre is a co-creator with jazz pianist Garry Dial of "Us an'Them" a collection of national anthems from 16 nations performed by musicians from those countries who were living in New York City at the time.Most recently she co-wrote "A New Serenity Prayer" with Fr. James Martin, S.J., known for his work with the American Catholic LGBTQ community.Terre's composition "Star of Wonder" has been a favorite in choral repertoires around the world and is now published by E.C. Schirmer.She sang the role of Squeaky Fromme in John Moran's avant-garde opera "The Manson Family". Terre has worked with Paul Simon, Philip Glass, Linda Ronstadt, Meredith Monk, Don Was, The Muscle Shoals Swampers, Robert Fripp, Tracey Ullman, Kathy Mattea and Garry Dial to name quite a few. Terre's first solo album "The Sound of a Tree Falling" was released in 1998. "Imprint", her second solo album performed with jazz bassist Jay Anderson was released in 2015.In 2022, Terre released "Kin Ya See That Sun", an audio album of live recordings of Terre and her sister Maggie doing arrangements of songs they did when they were teenagers traveling around the country to play at colleges. This is a brand-new format for an album release - a hardcover book with drawings framing the lyrics and a QR code for listening to each song. The album contains many songs from their debut album "Seductive Reasoning", produced in part by Paul Simon.In 2024 Terre released "Inner Adult", a new album of thirteen original songs recorded in one take at Coral Star Studio on the island of St. John, V.I."My guests, Terri Thal and Michael Tannen are the two people most responsible for setting me on a musical path in life.
