The legendary NEA Jazz Master barry Harris returns to the Jazz Room after his injury-related postponed performance last year. He will be joined by historic Philadelphia tenor saxophonist Larry McKenna. Harris is a true bebop pioneer and a rare connection to that formative jazz era. He is a product of historic collaborations with such giants as Dexter Gordon, Miles Davis, Sonny Stitt, Hank Mobley, and fellow Detroit native Thad Jones.
