In guitarist John Fontana’s own words, “what if Krampus was in charge of the holiday instead of Santa? I mean, we have to start looking at Christmas things as early as August, so maybe we should hang onto Halloween a little longer”. And so, the band set out to produce a tribute to Danny Elfman’s timeless music from The Nightmare Before Christmas.According to Shadow Circus, “Danny Elfman wrote a doom and prog metal masterpiece. He just forgot to put heavy guitars and drums on it.”Finishing out the set with equally entertaining macabre rock classics from artists such as Alice Cooper, Ghost, and Rocky Horror Picture Show, among others, along with some of the band’s best original material, Shadow Circus has set out to perform a one-of-a-kind heavy and macabre rock tribute that we hope will become an annual tradition.
