The South Orange Performing Arts Center – opened its doors on November 3, 2006, with the mission of becoming the premiere performing arts center in the region. SOPAC offers innovative artistic and cultural experiences for diverse audiences in an intimate, inviting environment. In its first two seasons, SOPAC presented a wide range of performances, including Yo-Yo Ma, Jeff Daniels, Richie Havens, and Dionne Warwick. To further expand its offerings, SOPAC has partnered with the Juilliard School to present Juilliard @ SOPAC, and has teamed up with Seton Hall University to host both the Arts Council’s Classical Season and the Jazz N’ the Hall Series. Under the leadership of Executive Director Ondine Landa Abramson, SOPAC has planned an exciting line-up of performances and programs for its 2008-2009 season.
