Chatter Jazz Revisited at The Jazz Loft

The Jazz Loft (TJL), 275 Christian Avenue in Stony Brook, presents Chatter Jazz Revisited on Friday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. a salute to the spirit of a 1959 album called Chatter Jazz, subtitled The Talkative Horns of Rex Stewart and Dickie Wells. The Jazz Loft show will feature a superb sextet comprised of Jazz Loft founder Tom Manuel on cornet; Ray Anderson on trombone; Dayna Sean Stephens on tenor saxophone; Dario Chiazzolino on guitar; Andrea Veneziani on bass; and Jon Mele on drums. Manuel, Anderson and Stephens are on the Stony Brook University (SBU) faculty in the school’s Jazz Program. Chiazzolino and Veneziani are SBU graduate jazz students pursuing their doctorates....
