About

Another Yale alum, Matthew Clayton, is an alto saxophonist, educator, and composer. A devoted scholar of jazz and ethnomusicology, Clayton is currently Director of Jazz Combos at the University of Pennsylvania, a faculty member at the prestigious Nelly Berman School of Music, and performs widely as an in-demand saxophonist in the Philadelphia area.
