Fred Hersch Trio at Collomore Concert Series at Chester Meeting House

Proclaimed by Vanity Fair magazine, “the most arrestingly innovative pianist in jazz over the last decade or so,” six-time Grammy nominee Fred Hersch and his trio will perform at the historic Chester Meeting House in the 41st season of the Collomore Concert Series. His newest trio CD, Floating (Palmetto), was released in July 2014 and features seven new compositions; it reached #1 on iTunes Jazz, #2 on Amazon Jazz and #5 on Billboard Jazz. The New York Times' Nate Chinen said, "Mr. Hersch has been making acclaimed trio releases since his debut album as leader 30 years ago. He hasn’t made one better than this...an extravagantly beautiful new album." A reception will be held after the concert to meet the performers.
