Featuring a unique instrumentation of guitar, violin, cello, alto sax/flute and percussion set, the quintet plays as both a tightly knit chamber ensemble and an explorative, dynamic jazz band. With band members equally versed in performance, composition and improvisation, the quintet is able to shape-shift through a wide palette of timbres, roles and orchestrations, creating a sound completely their own, with elements of contemporary jazz, romantic classical music, and various groove-based traditions from around the world.

Drawing from personal experiences of emotional processing and reflection - over lose, solitude, displacement, and travel - the album is titled after the introspection of self and the way it manifests in the compositional process, with music that aims to create meditative and evocative spaces for both listeners and performers.
