NOLATET returns to the MARIGNY OPERA HOUSE for a special Jazz Fest concert. This quartet of mad composer/performer/bandleaders has found a powerful language for human expression. Taking a wide-ranging body of compositions and re-constructing them every time creates an undeniably unique concert experience. Combining the deeply romantic with total abstraction, traveling the spaceways from the ancient to the future, honoring the real traditions of diaspora rhythms but subverting templates at every turn NOLATET is the band that honors the past, questions the present, and challenges futures. This concert only the band will be augmented by guitarist/composer JONATHAN FREILICH and visiting saxophonist/saxophone sculptor/curator MARK SOUTHERLAND.
