Steve Lands is a dynamic trumpeter, composer, and educator who may be best known for his work with Grammy-winning PJ Morton and with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. The Baton Rouge native has also toured Europe with Swiss pianist Florian Favre and performed with Dave Grohl, the Black Keys, several Marsalises, and Arcade Fire. In 2022 his composition “Rearranging the Planets” debuted at the New Orleans Museum of Art; not content to ride on his laurels, in early 2023 the energetic Lands joined Maroon 5 in Las Vegas on “Moves Like Jagger.”
