Sharing the stage and studio with jazz masters in both New York and Paris, saxophonist Stephane Spira has developed an “almost fragile sensibility” in his music, and a notable lyricism in his saxophone solos. Alon Nechustan (piano), Peter Slavov (bass), Jacob Malchior (drums)
"Alon Nechushtan's trio displays compelling chemistry in abundance" says All About Jazz. Alon received his Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory, studying piano, big band and jazz composition, in addition to study with the School for Improvisation in New York. As an active band leader Alon founded quintet TALAT in 2002. The ensemble is dedicated to his original works and recorded a CD on John Zorn's Tzadik Records mixed by the great Bill Laswell. Another Trio is in the post production stages and will be released in the fall.
February 15th : The Daniel Bennett Show

Critically acclaimed New York saxophonist Daniel Bennett has recently shared concert stages with national artists like Bill Frisell, Charlie Hunter, James Carter, Billy Martin (Medeski, Martin & Wood), Jerry Bergonzi, and David Fiuczynski. The Daniel Bennett Group’s “The Legend of Bear Thompson” (spring 2008) was ranked in Metronome Magazine’s top five picks of the month, declaring, "the trio is so in sync with each other that it's downright mystical." Daniel’s music has been described as “refreshingly capricious and trippy exploratory folk-jazz”, so get ready to enjoy something a little different!
February 22nd : Gabrielle Stravelli
http://www.gabriellestravelli.com/
Award-winning vocalist Gabrielle Stravelli has garnered critical acclaim and a loyal following through her unique take on material from the new American songbook as well as classic standards by artists as varied as Pink Floyd and Duke Ellington, Dolly Parton and Johnny Mercer. A trained actor, Gabrielle has a soulful sensitivity for the story in the lyric and was called “a powerhouse of individual expression” by David Finkle of The Village Voice.

February 9th : Camila Meza
http://www.camilameza.com/
Considered by the Chilean press as one of the “most fresh and interesting musicians of the last years”, Camila Meza recently moved to New York City to attend the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. As a vocalist and guitarist she belongs to a minority of jazz musicians who have the skills to play an instrument with great dexterity while at the same time maintaining a strong and prominent vocal presence. As a composer and arranger she has developed her own voice, turning music from Latin America, Brazil and jazz standards into her own unique rhythmic and harmonic perspective.
