Jazz singer-composer Akemi Yamada will be back to perform at Jazz at Kitano with her exciting band on 2/7 Thursday.
Akemi has established her own unique style of contemporary jazz "Dreamy Jazz" over the years basing in New York City, and some of her original music has been released in her album, Ta Bi Ji. This Dreamy Jazz Quartet will perform Akemi's own Brazilian contemporary jazz influenced original compositions as well as her fine arrangements of jazz and bossa nova standards, and the music from her native country, Japan.
