Alter View is a New York City based jazz band. Their fresh and exciting sound stems from the unique mix of the musicians' wide-ranging styles and backgrounds. Alter View's original compositions and creative interpretations of jazz standards deliver a positive and unforgettable experience to their audience. From heart-warming ballads to funky break beats, the groups' distinctive sound captures their philosophical intent and conveys their perspective on today's jazz music.

Alter View is comprised of trumpeter Marco Coco, saxophonist Fraser Campbell, pianist Asen Doykin, bassist Trifon Dimitrov and drummer Rossen Nedelchev. Alter View is set to release their debut album Perception in the fall of 2011. The album consists of all original tracks composed by members of the group. The opening tune, "Attitude" starts the journey with a forceful drive that sets the tone for the rest of the album. From there, the band explores various textures and rhythms from the slow funky groove,"Sources", to the up-tempo swing, "Morning Rush". The tune "To the Gates, Through the Gates" brings the album to a climactic ending, which concludes the group's maiden voyage.
