Gene Bertoncini Solo Guitar Concert at The Drawing Room

Gene Bertoncini can transform a nylon-string guitar into a little orchestra, combining jazz, classical and bossa nova standards into exquisite solo arrangements. Called “The Segovia of Jazz Guitar” by the late jazz historian Gene Lees, Gene has accompanied Tony Bennett, Lena Horne and Nancy Wilson and collaborated with Buddy Rich, Wayne Shorter and Burt Bacharach among many others. The intimate house-concert atmosphere of The Drawing Room in downtown Brooklyn makes it an ideal place to hear him. Admission is $20; wine and light refreshments are available, and BYO is encouraged.
