Performing Miles: The Electric Years 1967-1975
Drummer, percussionist and bandleader Gerry Gibbs serves as occasional "aural historian" to the music of Miles Davis. This tribute is a passionate execution of special selections of Miles Davis’ music during the “Electric Years” from 1967-1975 and is considered one of the most controversial and notorious segments of Davis' career. Gibbs and the Bitches Brew Orchestra featuring Jeremy Pelt- Electric Trumpet, Essiet Okon Essiet -Bass, Uri Caine-Fender Rhodes, Sam Newsome-Soprano Sax, David Gilmore-Guitar and Gerry Gibbs-Drums will perform two shows Sat Feb 25th at 7:30PM & 9PM at Creole Restaurant and Music Supper Club located in East Harlem at 2167 Third Avenue at 118th St. NYC 10035.
