Kendra Shank (voice), Gary Versace (keyboard), and Dean Johnson (bass) collaborate with an open fluidity and sonic pallette attuned to Shank's predilection for ensemble interplay and sound-painting. Kendra Shank combines contemporary jazz songs, standards, world music, folk/pop tunes, and open improvisation in an adventurous, genre-bending style that inspired Gary Giddins to call her "one of New York's most original performers" (Jazz Times).
