Pavees Dance is Sean Noonan's latest project that features Kirk Knuffke (trumpet), Brian Drye (trombone), Oran Etkin (clarinet), Tom Swafford (violin), and Sean Noonan (drums, stories).  



Pavees, "the walking people", are Irish travelers and a new musical vehicle in Noonan's attempt to further explore  composition through the "wandering folk music theory".  In a third stream configuration he brews four seasoned Brooklyn jazz veterans, adapting folklore, legends and spirituals in a new Irish-American storytelling style improvised on the drum set.  http://www.noonansmusic.com...

Alexis Marcelo Quartet – Playing original compositions that focus on the soul of a song. Sonic moods meant to encourage reaction within the group in any way desired. Inspired by a broad range of music the sound intertwines through various genres. It is my hope that a soulful raw sounds will emerge from the moods created.
