Sean and his masters rev up the electric jazz to new heights. Drum master Marko Djordjevic propels the music like a new wave Billy Cobham, but with multi-layered poly rhythms to go along with pummeling beats. The sound is heavy thanks to Marko and bassist Even Marien and offers a launch pad for Nowell's swirling electric sax work, the brass of Mason and Dease, and sheets of sound from keyboardists Adam Klipple and Art Hirahara.
