In their program, "Radio Nights", The South Shore Syncopators, with vocalist Holly Sickinger, recreate a 1929 "remote broadcast" complete with an announcer, period commercials, comedic banter, and the great music of the time. The South Shore Syncopators Dance Orchestra is a ten-piece band which performs the music of the pre-swing decade, celebrating artists like Al Jolson, Bing Crosby, Paul Whiteman, Ted Weems and others. Songs include "I Wanna Be Loved By You", "By a Waterfall", and "You Oughta Be in Pictures." Doug Ramsey, jazz critic for "JazzTimes" and "Downbeat" noted the band has "a special spirit...that thrives in the present."...
