Isaac was raised in San Anselmo, California. He studied with Jazz legends Kenny Burrell and Billy Higgins at UCLA. He has received numerous distinctions including a Gluck Fellowship for the Performing Arts, Kennedy Center's Jazz Ahead program and an invitation to audition for the Thelonious Monk Institute. Isaac has had the opportunity to perform with many great musicians including Keith Carlock, Sean Wayland, Mark Ferber, Randy Ingram, Jochen Reuckert, Mark Shim, Jon Gordan, Curtis Fowlkes, Lucas Pino, Leron Thomas, Henry Cole, Yvonnick Prene, Ambrose Akinmusire, Linda Oh and many others. He has performed at many of New York's top venues including the 55 Bar, Fat Cat, 92Y and the Stone.

Currently, Isaac presides over the Sunday night jam session at Basik in Williamsburg. He performs with his group, the IsaacDarche Quintet often. He also works as a side man with Sean Wayland, Yvonnick Prene, the fusion group EGOM, Bob Gingery, Steven Feifkie, Carter Bales, Michael Eaton and many others.
