An exciting new sound of Asian folk music mixed with modern Jazz, 17-piece Jeff Fairbanks' Project Hansori performs the all original music of its leader. An in-demand composer and performer, and a recognized talent, Fairbanks has won national awards and recognition from ASCAP, BMI, IAJE, and numerous competitive grants from the American Music Center and the Queens Council on the Arts. Project Hansori's debut recording "Mulberry Street", released on the Brooklyn Jazz Underground Records label, will be available for purchase online beginning in early June 2011. Featuring a cast of 22 including singular guest bari saxophonist Fred Ho, this album of Fairbanks' original compositions and arrangements fuses East and West in an imaginative new setting.
