Artur Dutkiewicz Solo Piano Tour at Tauranga Art Gallery

After a successful performance at the Wellington Int. Jazz Festival and a tournée at jazz festivals in Australia last June with his Trio, Artur Dutkiewicz - one of the most renowned Polish jazz pianists is back in New Zealand. Concerts in New Zealand are part of the tour which also includes concert halls in Australia.
Artur Dutkiewicz will present contemporary jazz from his solo album Mazurkas, which was influenced by Chopin, Szymanowski and Bartok. Classical music, Polish folk music and trance jazz improvisation are combined as one original whole. This is a pioneering project in contemporary solo piano music.
