Born in Chicago, as a third generation musician Milton Suggs recognized music as a gift from a young age. It was much later that he began to accept it as a calling. Beginning as a pianist and later incorporating voice, Suggs began his journey in his hometown of Chicago and further honed his craft and developed his artistic vision in New York. Suggs's voice and approach to music are a reflection of the many great voices in Black music and culture from the past century and beyond.
