One of the oldest jazz festivals in the country, the North Carolina Jazz Festival will celebrate its 40th anniversary Jan. 23, 24, &25, 2020 at the Hotel Ballast (formerly the Wilmington Hilton Riverside)on the bank of the Cape Fear River in Wilmington,NC. Featured are renowned Jazz musicians from across the US and around the globe. Thursday is a Special Event night when we showcase "rising young stars" in the jazz world. Friday and Saturday nights feature our All-Stars in 7 sets each night (each set with a different leader). All concerts start at 7:30, Thurs. a 3 hr. performance and Fri. & Sat. the music continues until midnight!...

The NCJF has an extensive jazz program for students at local schools plus master classes given at the Hotel Ballast.
