Cape Fear Jazz Appreciation Society

Founded in 1997, our group is a non-profit group devoted to the promotion of Jazz in southeastern North Carolina. We have an annual concert which has featured such greats as Monty Alexander and Sheila Jordan. We also sponsor multiple outdoor free concerts featuring our outstanding local Jazz musicians. We also have an affiliation with University of North Carolina at Wilmington, which has an outstanding Jazz program. The society also offers two annual scholarships in Jazz studies at UNC-W. Memberships are availble and they include an outstanding monthly newsletter, which features local Jazz news as well as reviews of Jazz CDs.
