Alfredo Rodriguez returns to our stage with his working trio for two nights of creative music–making at its highest level. The pianist’s latest Mack Avenue release, Tocororo, reflects Rodríguez’s global vision: With his trio augmented by musicians and vocalists from India, Lebanon, Cameroon, Spain and France, the pianist performs dazzling originals, popular Cuban standards, and classical compositions by Argentinian master Astor Piazzolla and JS Bach.
