Dennis Rea Time-Lapse Trio (7 p.m.)
Seattle-based guitarist Dennis Rea (Moraine, Iron Kim Style, Zhongyu) makes a rare NYC appearance with his Time-Lapse Trio, featuring one of his most recent collaborators, Seattleite woodwind player Dick Valentine, and one of his earliest, drummer/vibraphonist and fellow Earthstar member Daniel Zongrone (in their first public performance since 1979). A summit meeting of two renaissance men of today's global creative music milieu, Touch Guitarist and composer Markus Reuter Stick Men, Crimson ProjecKt, Namgar Project) and much-buzzed-about guitarist's guitarist Mark Wingfield (Wingfield-Kästning duo), fresh from their epochal MoonJune collaboration The Stone House (five stars in Down Beat).

Beledo Trio (9 p.m.)
Uruguay-raised/NYC-based guitarist Beledo has turned heads with his formidable instrumental prowess, both as a leader and as a key collaborator with the likes of Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Stefon Harris, Randy Brecker, Adam Holzman, and Dwiki Dharmawan.
Versed in classical music, adept in the traditional styles of his birthplace, and drawing inspiration from diverse modern musical forms, Beledo has earned his place among the most sophisticated and versatile guitarists active today. Tonight, he will cap off this extraordinary evening with his trio featuring bassist Tony Steele and drummer Doron Lev.
