Founded in 1993 the Brussels Jazz Orchestra has consistently raised its profile through world-class performances, reinforcing its reputation as one of Europeʼs most active and forward-thinking jazz ensembles. Hailed by the press and funded by the Flemish government, the BJO has logged more than 50 international performances in 2010. It has recorded and performed with featured greats such as Dave Liebman, Maria Schneider, Dave Douglas, Richard Galliano, Gustavo Bergalli, Norma Winstone, McCoy Tyner, Maria Joao, Kenny Wheeler and Lee Konitz.
