Soulful and adventurous, the saxophone legend and NEA Jazz Master Charles Lloyd delivers a truly immersive performance every time he takes the stage. Expect pulse-pounding improvisation, meditative ballads, and near-telepathic connection from Lloyd and his bandmates.
Celebrate his 85th birthday at Rose Theater with two exceptional all-star bands. On Friday evening, Sangamโfeaturing iconic Indian percussionist Zakir Hussain and internationally lauded drummer Eric Harlandโtakes the stage. Then, on Saturday evening, Lloyd will perform with his New Quartet, featuring Harland, pianist Jason Moran, and bassist Reuben Rogers.
