11th Annual Red Hook Jazz Festival at Red Hook Jazz Festival

After 10 years of two-day festivals presenting 100 bands, the grassroots, all-volunteer Red Hook Jazz Festival will shift to one day for its 11th annual season on Sunday, September 16 from 2-6 PM.

Headlining this year's RHJF will be acclaimed guitarist Marc Ribot and his Jazzbeens trio. The other groups performing this year include the Drum/Bridge Tentet, led by drummer/composer Andrew Drury, which will be preceded by a workshop of student musicians led by Drury who will then join the Tentet for their set, along with the renowned Indian master of the double-neck mandolin, Snehasish Mozumder and his multicultural Sound of Mandolin (SOM) band....

The 11th annual Red Hook Jazz Festival will take place in the Red Hook community garden the Urban Meadow, located at the corner of President and Van Brunt Streets near the Columbia St. waterfront in Brooklyn, NY. General admission will be $15 and will be available at the Meadow entrance — no advance tickets will be sold. As with all past editions of the festival, all children will be admitted free of charge.
