Deja Que se Rompa Todo (Let It All Break) is a new musical work that embarks on an introspective journey through heartbreak, transformation, and self-discovery. Contrary to the anticipated melancholy tone, it evolves into a celebration of shedding layers to forge this musical expression – a resounding proclamation of self-love. Drawing from personal journal entries, Alea crafts songs spanning R&B, Latin soul, and electronic sounds. Infused with movement and transformation, the performance showcases piercing melodies, electric guitar riffs, and Afro-inspired choreography brought to life by a remarkable ensemble of dancers and musicians. The band for this performance includes Berta Moreno (tenor sax and vocals), Raquel Baena (trombone and vocals), Andrés Fonseca (drums), Argelia Arreola (vocals and dance), Luis D’ Elias (electric guitar and vocals), PJ Duffy (electric bass), and Felipe Fournier (MD).
