Alphonso Horne is a GRAMMY-nominated trumpeter with collaborations ranging from Dianne Reeves to Rihanna, named by Wynton Marsalis one of the top jazz musicians leading the next generation. Alphonso explores his South African roots starting with hymns written by his grandfather who started a church and community in Jacksonville,FL. As he discovers his heritage, he unveils the musical contribution of the African American experience including spirituals, blues, ragtime, jazz and much more.
